Houman Barqnavard to star in series ‘Pinned’

Iranian comedy actor Houman Barqnavard is slated to star in a new series project.

Directed by Hossein Agha-Harandi, the series ‘Pinned’ is to enjoy Barqnavard as one of the main actors.

‘Pinned’ narrates the story of Mosayyeb, who after 45 years finds out that he has never been the only child of the family.

Despite his passion to watch plays from an early age, Houman Barqnavard believes that the spectacular theater performances he witnessed at the age of 18 drove him to acting.

He made his television debut in 1995.

His roles in comedy series such as ‘Medical Building’ (2010-2011) as well as ‘Cops and Robbers’ (2012) gained him a nationwide fame.

He has acted in a number of series, including ‘Bench’ (2005-2006), ‘Saadat Guesthouse’ (2006), ‘Awakening’ (2008), ‘Tears and Smiles’ (2008-2009), ‘Factor 8’ (2009), ‘On the Way to Zayandeh Rood’ (2010), ‘The Bounced Check’ (2011-2012), ‘The Times’ (2012), ‘Chimney’ (2013), ‘Bad Days Pass’ (2013-2014), ‘The Recluse’ (2014), and ‘Shahrzad’ (2014-2015).

Barqnavard has also appeared in movies such as ‘A Piece of Bread’ (2004), ‘Retribution’ (2009), ‘The Queen’ (2011), ‘Strawberry Dessert ‘ (2011), ‘The Sinners’ (2012), ‘Hard Makeup’ (2013), and ‘A Nice Dinner’ (2014).
